Yes it is ! And right round the Olashe campsite! - September 18, 2010
How lucky, the migration is right over our side, on the morning of 10th Sept we awoke to find them on the plains in front of the camp

Highland forest chameleon – find a good garden in Nairobi, sit still for a while and its amazing what you’ll see
These wonderful Ordinance survey 1:50,000 maps we use for walking with.
One of the biggest jobs, sorting the vehicles and ensuring they are well serviced, with good tyres, tool kits, tow ropes,
spades and pangas (machete’s) in case of rain. Also the long lists of puncture repair kits, wheel changing equipment, (high Lift jacks and blocks), first aid kits, fire extinguishes and so on and so on.
(The small car is the town run-around !)
We’ll have a small camp cook team, John (Samburu John) and Alex.
John has been working on safaris for over twenty years, and is putting up all the equipment to trial it.
All in good shape.
thunder heads (cumulonimbus) towering over 35,000 feet, above the plane, on the way in. Heavy rain in Ethiopia and South Sudan, light rain in Nairobi on arrival.
Glad to clear passport control after long queues and to be picked up by Alex. I wish those with pre-stamped visas could be fast tracked instead of queueing with everyone else who is buying theirs !
Minor irritation, Customs sleepy and Nairobi bustling and vibrant ! nice to have the rain.
